Did you know that to produce 1 ton of uncoated virgin (non-recycled) printing and office paper you may need up to 24 trees (and maybe more)? Recycled paper can dramatically reduce those numbers. Mixing paper with other items like labels, tape, plastic or other non recyclable items will drastically reduce the recycle capabilities of the paper that others have properly collected.
